In the heart of the northern Sierra Nevada mountain chain, Sierra County is unspoiled and uncrowded. Scenic highways take you to old mining camps, cattle ranches, spring wild flowers, snowy peaks, fall colors, waterfalls and historic sites. Sierra County is comprised of two quite different regions.
